A Grampa's Work is Never Done

One of the biggest tasks on Grampa's "To Do List" was digging out the flower beds and putting in new compost.  Yesterday while we took the boys swimming, Grampa was busy digging out the old dirt and weeds.  Then this morning (Saturday) Grampa and DeAnn were up bright and early to be at the compost place by 9:00.  They have put 3 yards of compost on the beds and may be back to get one additional yard.  John was "on call" and had to work this morning so he missed most of it.  It looks VERY nice!!!
(Gramma and Holly were up early too but we went garage saleing for a couple hours.  Had a very productive time and lots of fun.)

This is before:

and this is after.  Grampa also took some of the hostas from the front yard and transplanted them in the back.

Grampa even had to clean up under the table - Katie likes to share her food with the little critters that live under the table.
Yesterday the boys called Aunt Sally to see if they could go swimming and of course, Aunt Sally told them to come on over.  She had to work but we used the pool without her.  They have a zip line that goes over the pool and the boys love to use it and then drop down into the water.

 Our "muscle men"??!!
 The little bathing beauty princess:
The boys tried to get up on each other's shoulders - worked well with Sam on Chase's shoulders but poor Sam just couldn't seem to get Chase up out of the water.
Ice cream is always good after a day of swimming!!!  Grampa wasn't along but don't worry, we brought some home for him.
This hydrangea bush is in the backyard and it is loaded with the most beautiful, huge blooms!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Love,
Gramma and MOM
